"Yonder” is an upcoming South Korean television series. It is scheduled to premiere on Tving and Paramount+ on October, 14, 2022. It was made into 6 episodes.

“Beyond the Memory,” widely known by its Korean title “Yonder,” presents the story of a middle-aged man, who receives an unexpected video email from his dead wife, inviting him to a place named Yonder, a world created by the memories of the deceased.

A journalist at Science M who continues his empty life after his wife's death. I get confused when I receive a message from my dead wife to come to see me.

Jae-hyun's dead wife, who belongs to Yonder. Just before choosing euthanasia, she signed a mysterious contract and led her husband Jae-hyun to "Yonder."

Director Lee Joon-ik has returned with a science fiction drama set in 2032, the near future.

Director Lee introduced the work at the opening talk event of the original TVing drama "Yonder", "We planned it in the hope that our thoughts on life through death will become clearer."

"Yonder" is a story that takes place when a man who received a message from his deceased wife is invited to the unknown space "Yonder" where he can meet her.

The drama is based on the novel 'Goodbye Yonder' published in 2011. It is director Lee's first drama production and the first joint investment between Tving and Paramount+.

Director Lee actually wrote a scenario based on a novel 11 years ago and gave up, and said that the work to be released this time was a completely new work.

"There are a lot of SF foreign series recently, and I wanted to challenge myself in that there is such a work among Korean novels," he said. "Ten years ago, I boldly covered it because I was afraid that my lack of skills would undermine the value of the material, and after a while, I took it out again with a simple mind."

"Modern society is moving toward an era where you have to believe in what is invisible rather than what you see," he said. "Yonder is a cinematic technique that scenes what you can't see in reality and what you have to think."
