"Recipe for Farewell"
‘Chang Wook’ learns to prepare a dish
that he has never cooked before and decides to make it himself for his wife,
who can rarely eat.
‘Chang Wook’ is 40 years old. He works
as a translator and professor of humanities.
His wife (‘Da Jeong’) suffers from
terminal bowel cancer. He also has difficulties eating, due to digestive
problems.
She asks ‘Chang Wook’ to cook for her
every day, even though the only thing he can cook is ramyeon.
‘Chang Wook’ starts cooking for his
wife and she eats little by little of the food, which he cooks with love and
care.
