Astro member ‘Moonbin’ found dead
'Moonbin' (Astro) was found dead at
his residence in Seoul, on Wednesday at around 8 p.m.
Agency 'Fantagio' has not yet made an
official statement.
The police said the singer appears to
have died in an apparent suicide, although investigations are ongoing. He was
25.
'Moonbin' debuted as a member of
'Astro' in 2016. He became a member of Astro’s first sub-unit 'Moonbin &
Sanha' in 2020 and has been working actively as a duo.
According to the police, the boy
band’s manager first called the police after discovering his body. The manager
told the police he went to Moonbin’s house as he was unable to reach him.
Early this year, 'Moonbin & Sanha'
released its third EP “Incense” and kicked off its first world tour “Diffusion”
with a Seoul concert on March 18 and 19.
The duo performed in
Manila on March 25 then in Bangkok on April 8. They will perform in Japan next
month. He will also participate in the 'Dream Concert' held at the Busan Asiad
Main Stadium on May 27th.
