What is the difference between 'Bag Ramyeon' and 'Cup Ramyeon'?

 

There are two types of ramyeon.

 

One is 'Bag Ramyeon'(=Regular Ramyeon) and the other is 'Cup Ramyeon'.

 

'Cup Ramyeon' that cook quickly even in boiled water.

'Bag Ramyeon'(=Regular Ramyeon) that needs to be boiled continuously in water.

 

What is the difference between the two ramyeon noodles?

First, the noodles of 'Cup Ramyeon' are thinner than regular noodles.

 

The hot water spreads the heat better on the noodles.

Second, the noodles of 'Cup Ramyeon' are cooked quickly even at low temperatures.

 

There are many holes drilled in the surface.

Third, the noodles of 'Cup Ramyeon' have a more starch content than 'Bag Ramyeon'(=Regular Ramyeon) noodles.

It cooks better and faster even in lower temperature water.

 

In general, even if it is the same type or brand of ramyen, the price of cup ramyen is higher than the price of bag ramyen, and the content of cup ramyen is less than that of bag ramyen.
