A story is about a diplomat and a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent who struggle and risk their lives in Afghanistan to save Korean hostages that have been abducted in the Middle East.

An extremist Taliban group takes a group of Korean tourists hostage in Afghanistan. The Korean government dispatches 'Jae Ho', known as one of Korea’s most skilled diplomats, to handle the situation.

However, Jae Ho’s efforts go in vain. Due to his failure, he’s forced to work with 'Dae Sik', a special agent who is an expert on the Middle East

'Hyun Bin' playing a NIS agent conducts a rescue operation and negotiations with the help of diplomat played by 'Hwang Jung-min'.

The film is based on true events of 2007 Korean hostage crisis in Afghanistan, when 23 Korean missionaries were captured and held hostage in Afghanistan.
