New faces are joining "Squid Game II"
Actors 'Yim Si-wan', 'Kang Ha-neul',
'Park Sung-hoon' and 'Yang Dong-geun' will join the second season of
"Squid Game", the U.S. streaming service Netflix said Saturday.
Most recently, 'Yim Si-wan' starred in the Netflix film "Unlocked" (2023), 'Kang Ha-neul' starred in TV drama “Insider” (2022), 'Park Sung-hoon' starred in the Netflix drama “The Glory” (2022) and 'Yang Dong-geun' starred in TV drama “cheer up” (2022).
The first season's actors, 'Lee
Jung-jae' will continue to play a lead role in the second season of "Squid
Game". And 'Lee Byung-hun', 'Wi Ha-joon' and 'Gong Yoo' will return in the
second season of "Squid Game", as well.
The announcement was made through
Netflix's in-person festival, "Tudum" in Sao Paolo on Saturday.
The second season of "Squid Game"
has a budget of more than $77.8 million and began filming this summer. A
release date has not been set yet.
